Every kind of coach

Built for the way you coach

The independent coach

Teach private students and small groups online from one link. Your own puzzle library, homework that marks itself and progress you can send to parents — free to start, so it pays for itself before you pay anything.

The academy coach

Open your batches, teach on the shared board, and see each student's homework and ratings without asking the office. The owner sees the same picture, so there are no reports to write.

A coach's week

What a week on Chessido looks like

Before class: Pick a position from your library or build a lesson in minutes; homework from last week is already marked.
In class: Warm up with a class Puzzle Rush, teach on the shared board with video, and watch every student's board on the live wall.
After class: Send puzzles matched to each student's level with one click.
At the weekend: Run a quick online tournament with live standings — results go straight into each student's record.
End of month: Share a progress report with parents and print certificates for the students who earned them.

The tools

Every tool a chess coach needs

Live classroom — a shared board with built-in video and a live wall of every student's board.
Puzzle homework — assign to a batch or one student; every answer is checked for you.
Puzzle Lab — open positions where you see how each student thinks, not just whether they were right.
Progress analytics — accuracy, homework, attendance and Chess.com and Lichess ratings per student.
Bot practice, simuls and mini-tournaments — the game time students look forward to.
Your own library — puzzles, games and positions built around your teaching.

For how these fit together in a lesson, see chess coaching software. Running more than one coach? The chess academy platform page covers the owner's side. Comparing tools? Read the 2026 buyer's guide or the ChessLang alternative comparison.
